Shui Xian Lao Cong (daffodil old tree)

Shui Xian (means daffodil in Chinese) is one of the most predominant cultivars grown in the Wuyi mountain area. The cultivation of this tea dates back to the late Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). It gained popularity over the years due to its rich flavour, resilience to extreme weather, and good yield.

This particular batch is made from tea bushes of 60 years and older. It’s medium-high roasted over the traditional charcoal heat. It offers bold, toasty and woodsy flavours with measured minerality, well-rounded texture and a pleasingly long and elegant floral aftertaste.
