The Meiryoku cultivar is a cross between the most popular Yabukita and the old but hard to find Yamatomidori. Our Sencha Meiyoku is lightly steamed (Asamushi-Cha) to feature the light fragrances, clean and refreshing flavours of the Meiryoku cultivar.
Dry leave nose: sweet meadow and a hint of black currant
Taste: Light, smooth and very refreshing with bright vegetal and umami flavours. The nice aftertaste has a subtle lemon-peel note that lingers nicely on the softly mineral finish.
