Benifuuki is a cultivar of tea plant developed in Japan and introduced in the Japanese market in 1993. Studies found that Benifuki green tea contains a large amount of O-methylated EGCG (EGCG3′′Me), which helps to reduce the symptoms of seasonal allergies such as hay fever, allergic asthma, and eczema, etc. This tea has gained huge popularity in Japan over the years due to its health properties.
Its taste is refreshing with vegetal and herbaceous flavours. Nice floral notes in the aftertaste.
