An exceptional black tea from tea garden situated close to the pictureistic Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan, and made with Hong Yu TRES No. 18 (a cultivar developed in Taiwan from Assamica and the local wild tea), the flavour of this black tea is rich and intense with great complexity.
Dry leaf: notes of plum, exotic flowers, sweet wood
Wet leaf after the 1st infusion: notes of plum, prune, wild berry jam, a hint of sweet cinnamon
Taste: Its predominant flavour has a savoury and woodsy profile. It has complex sub-flavours suggesting sweet potato fries, concord grape peel, juniper, spices with a eucalyptus and camphor edge.
